Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

I don't understand how a 2007 Campion could have been a "project" boat unless something happened to it?
I think a lot of them had delamination problems even after they switched to all composite. They seem to be hit and miss for build quality. Nice looking hulls though

Not 100% sure it’s a composite construction, I know for a fact my buddy 2007 682 stringer are wood, transom is composite, stringer not
Slapping a layer of Kevlar along the keel isn’t a cure for poor construction. I see they’re using a fibreglass grid/matrix stringer system in some boats now, but it’s just glued in with ‘aircraft grade’ glue. And that’s why they’ll come unglued. There is no substitute for hand lay-up.

The use of "aircraft grade" glue is widespread in the boat industry now.A lot if not all of the high end boats with interior liners use it.Watch a few Youtube factory tours on boats and you'll see it's commonly used now.I agree that Campion build quality was hit and miss especially with that early year walkaround model.

For non-structural bonding such as top liner to hull sure, but for structure I’ll take a hand-laid glass stringer and transom. Nothing wrong with an all glass hollow stringer matrix but should be at least tabbed into Hull. I’ve seen the videos on the new construction, and the highest quality rigs are still hand-laid, not glued.

A buddy of mine bought a 1997 622 Campion 4 years ago for $28,000 And that boat was ready to fish. He is happy with it but the layout is really for 2 people only unless fishing in sunny weather. These are one of the strangest layouts that Campion produced IMHO and was why I owned the 542 model for 10 years.
