The cabin deck appears to be normal height, which makes it about 6'6" of headroom. As far as the self bailing deck it's great and all but what made my hourston 23 solid was the low center of gravity and being inside the back deck at hip height gunnels but being able to reach the water. I honestly think it would suck to fish out of but what a machine as a commuter

If I was in the market for a great hull, strap on a used F250 for $10K and you have a great boat with minimal investment. Yes, shipping across country will cost $4000+- but .... still a good deal in my mind. DAJ
