Crappy weather and fishing closures likely aren’t helping. Lots of people trying to renew passports so budgets are shifting. We are spending thousands on a trip to Queeeeebec and NB in June. No boat upgrade in my future. It’s all about one less boat shopper.
better get your best Jean Chrétien voice going! LOL

You still have the gulf islands and beaches a plenty to go to with the family. Not as much for recreational boating on the Vancouver side.

I agree tons of stuff for us to do here, but dam wind. I am going to help my buddy pull his new sailfish out tonight and was going to push him into a ling cod fish, but the winds are scheduled to come up. Supposed to take my wife and her mom friends to Sidney spit for mothers day but winds are scheduled to blow over 20kn again. There is always a cove or two to fish in/prawn crab, Saanich inlet etc but what sells boats are wicked days on the water.

Have the almost identical boat but a 150. Great package for someone, to clarify it’s the 18’ and would be 21’+ with the pod.

Is the 140 sufficient power? Big displacement difference between the 140 and 150. I talked to the guy. Pretty good lineup.

Other question for you Brando: how can you tell the 17.2 from the 18.2 without a tape?
Shape of the hull is different. The 140 might be borderline but you’d have to go for a burn and see because it’s quite a bit lighter. The pod looks to be properly designed in following the bottom so shouldn’t have any issues getting up on step. I would bet if you get the right prop the 140 would do just fine.

Thanks for the teach Brando.

What's the 150 cruise rpm/ mph and max rpm/ mph on your hourston under normal loads?

I've been looking for a 18.2 podded unicorn for some time. Missed it by the looks of her. When you don't get a chance to look, you often assume it was a creame puff.

I cruise around 20-22knts at 3900 24-25knts at 4200 getting 4-4.3mpg and top out around 38knts at 5700 give or take depending on sea conditions and load running a 16x21 watergrip.
