Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

What would you suggest/recommend?
150. I had that on mine and it was perfect (twin 75s). It would plane on one motor at 20 kts with other raised (with only driver on board). We loaded that boat with 4 people and building materials and cruised at 25 kts and 4100 rpm. A single 150 would be lighter and would rock! FWIW, I spoke with Bill Hourston about repowering, his opinion was 150 was perfect for that boat.

This looks like a deal...if it isn't sold already...

16ft Double Eagle with new Mercury 115 ProXS Command Thrust on galvanized trailer...for $12,000

That’s the value of the 1 year old motor so you’re getting a free hull and trailer and that one looks pretty decent. Probably a $15k package there.

i shouldn’t be asking you; you old gear head, but isn’t that waaaay to much power/ weight for a 16?

It’s a ton of power, and I’m guessing it exceeds the recommended rating, but with no kicker weight, I’m sure it would stay afloat. Must break the speed of light at WOT

anyone know how to locate or know the guy selling the maui kai? 28' osprey with twin zuki.
it was advertised on craigslist in west vancouver. i think the listing expired.

I saw this Osprey on a triple axle trailer at the SV Business Group yard in WVan today. The boat looks very shiny and clean, and absolutely HUGE!

The starboard motor is trimmed up and the powerhead is covered by clear garbage bags and masking tape...wonder where the cowling went?

Thank you for posting! Scooped it. Been wanting to repower our 18’ Bridgeview CC which has a 2016 Merc 90. Swapping motors and buddy wants the DE for new family cabin in Point Roberts to leave in driveway down there. Even has photos of the glass work done by previous owner who used to work for DE apparently. Looks like clean little boat and some decent electronics to boot. Everyone wins.

Dropping in to say thanks for posting! Got it surveyed and left from Vancouver to pick up in Port Alberni. Boat and trailer was in a little rough condition, but negotiated the price lower accordingly. I've taken it out a couple times, + the old man likes it. Thanks all for your help, especially those I DM'd.

On another note, I see what you guys mean now...always work to be done..

That's awesome! Let us know how your Bridgeview runs with that new Merc
