Only thing to consider is the cost of maintaining and replacing tubes. I remember it being a big line item when I was on a sar board. Call titan and ask how long they would expect to get out of a set.

Yes! Talked to Titan. Tube lifespan depends on use and these have seen a hard life. New tubes being part of negotiations with seller. $20K for replacement.

I would seriously consider one of those as a project boat. If you get one from a non-blister year, they're supposed to be extremely tough boats.

I actually thought a few years ago about buying one that was up for grabs cheap, stripping it out, and making a big pilothouse out of it. But I didn't have the space to work on it at the time and I didn't want to rent.

I think a motivated guy could make one into a sweet charter type boat.
