Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Very nice Ironwood with new 115 twins. I posted this probably 6 months ago. I guess he was trying to sell at the end of season, took it off over the winter and is now trying again.

If I was in the market for an offshore/near-shore centre console, this would be the one I'd go for. I think its great value (subject to inspection) - but we'll see what the market will bear.

I really love the simplicity of this setup and expect we could all learn a lot about quality boat construction crawling around on this thing. The only thing you could really compare this to is a 22' Bridgeview Centre Console - or maybe a Walker CC - both of which are going to be a lot more than this. Definitely worth the ask, and likely worth spending a bit of cash to bring it up to current standard.

One of those has been pounding the waters off renfrew for years(24ft I think) was own by by a guide who sold it to another guide, tank of a boat, that thing seen more big Hali then you can imagine

Not sure a lot more necessarily in the scope of it all, and you would get the build YOU want. How old is that hull? Only mentions the engines in the ad...

I think a lot of the boats I'm seeing like this coming up for sale, it's a "might as well just buy new" scenario on pricing - 20 or 30K discount just isn't enough... and some, like this, are sitting since last year, meanwhile the economic outlook hasn't gotten any better.

Other than BV and Walker... Northwest, Jaxoncraft, Silver Streak, some smaller builders... there are options for a good hull like this.

Agreed you can get @tigerprawn new northwest for that price

I'm curious peoples thoughts, I am looking at a 2859 Bayliner with a Yanmar and B3. Nice rig but he says when its loaded it doesn't plane. Sips fuel at 9knts.
Been for sale for a year ( bad location), I would want to keep it for 3-5 years.
Wondering what the chance of reselling down the road with a non-planning boat would be??
I’d stay away from that, you definitely want to plane out when loaded. Sounds like poor performance, b3 is a good performance drive so must be really under powered or something wrong

Another 22. 98k. Not twins but one could always repower it.
There are lots of options in the welded 22' range, however the Ironwood stands out based on reputation of the builder. I believe he has retired - but the level of construction on these is unquestioned. You are buying something built like a tank, that has been done 'right'. The custom built you linked to looks nice, and not knocking the builder - but its been for sale for a while, and looks like a one-off from an unknown builder - that's always going to carry a significant discount (possibly great value, but no guarantees).
