Scuff sand and either gluv-it or coat-it epoxy sealer same day. if your really paranoid, have a tab welded on bolt a zinc near the bottom.... but coating the tank alone would do it. Was good enough for my hull.. should be good enough for a dry tank..

Cheers,

Progress on the Hourston continues nicely... got the inside all gutted.

Not despised, we just think your nuts! I'm kidding! My son thought it was cool and wanted me to keep it on.
Actually I felt since I really didn't know anything I asked these members advice and followed it.
I don't often follow people's advice!
You should be proud of your workmanship, it's great!

haha, I don't usually follow main stream either but do take advice and wisdom from selected individuals, never too old to learn or at least try! Once I get the tub on the water you will be happy to sit up there and share a cold-one with me  I just like the look...

That was runup after a nice new cam, new intake and L29 small chamber heads. Unfortunately I absolutely have to run premium now but should be about 450 hp.

Geeze Bill, no wonder you are called wild! Tone it down bud..., that is allot of horses.

Just kinda basic, stuff I had laying around after my 489 cid airboat build. 454 BBC 10/1 cr, L29 Vortec heads with nice stainless valves, solid lifter cam with about .520 lift. Edelbrock performer intake.
Cheap CHINESE stainless roller rockers blew apart at 5500 rpm third season about 60 hours in. Don't buy cheap Chinese stuff I guess.
Pulls good!
Once again, long Edmonton winters. To much time to think. Parts left over may as well put them to good use!

Bringing the thread back on track and on topic, LOL

Layer number two, 3/4" marine ply, awesome squeeze out... done!

When you layout your plywood for bonding do you want both surfaces smooth or somewhat rough for the epoxies to grip onto?
