2025 Gulf Island Reports

I got out today for one last go before the closure. We hit active pass. Northeast side. A westcoast skinny g on one side, west coast coho killer on the other side. We had a ton of action. We released quite a few in the 50cm-60 cm range. Including a 59 and 61 cm. We released a nice lingcod. And kept a 68cm and 74cm chinook. Pretty good day. 1000010330.jpg

Took advantage of the bathtub conditions yesterday for a day trip across. Nothing crazy but found our lings. Less prawn & crab than usual but was only a 3hr soak. Can’t complain going home with a nice sampler pack tho.

Look at that water...

Can anyone enlighten me as to the new regs on pinks? Is all of area 18 open to fish except whale and rock fish conservation zones? TIA
