Back from Sandspit today Jun13 ,2024....rough weather some 45 knott winds on west side....took a day out and rough 25 knott conditions other days....We ran into a run of White Springs...60% of about 20 fish caught at lodge over 16 hours only on the water.....a couple of 26 lb white springs.....last year same time....weather better and fishing was much better.....use AP Tackle 4 inch green herring and 6 inch green sandlance spoon and skinny g.....

Sandspit Adventures....nice lodge....totally renovated and they have replaced 5 boats equipped wth 300 hp power...custom built covered heated cabins....they fish west side....to Hunter point and as far down as Englefield...this trip we hugged in for cover....big water

I was in the weather for two days and the day we were blown off the water...was gale force 45 knots on west side of Graham island.......stick to board games and beer in the lodge....thank you....but the two days on the water were a grind....a salmon a hour....and if you want to puke...yes off shore for some easy butts....cost of this place is really really good no up charges for better boats etc,,,30 foot custom built beauties.....and long time guides....who know the west side.....QCL is a whole different tourist trap....and you would get killed in big water with those bath tubs they run around...lol on the west side....We were told by owner only 3 times in 8 years blown off the water....and one of our days was the 3rd
