Thanks. Nothing wrong with that.by no means slow but it is a grind. out the other day from 10:30 - 7:00 and picked up two chinook and two hatch coho and released 20 + wild coho. on the jigs
That's a beauty, nice work there!!Went out to catch the tide last evening, limited in an hour and then floated just enjoying being on the water afterwards. All on a bare plug in about 140 feet of water 10-20 feet off the bottom, wife has asked me to stop bringing home fish as we're out of freezer space
Thanks! Around the 75-80 cm nose to fork and high teens I think, I release all the wild ones that are releasable and try to just keep hatchery fish. Thankfully that fish was hooked right in the nose like a lot of returning fish seem to be so it was an easy and clean release. That's a beauty, nice work there!!
No color to the plug ?Went out to catch the tide last evening, limited in an hour and then floated just enjoying being on the water afterwards. All on a bare plug in about 140 feet of water 10-20 feet off the bottom, wife has asked me to stop bringing home fish as we're out of freezer space
Nope. Colour is largely irrelevant for salmon fishing with downriggersNo color to the plug ?

Thank you! Nice to hear someone else is doing the same as well! I use smaller hooks to that end as well, I don't go bigger than 3/0 anymore especially as I've noticed the extra weight affects plug action in addition to substantially less injuries to eyes etc.A true sportsman, nice to see and I follow the same philosophy for the benefit of future generations!
Cheers! Photo doesn't do the metallic paint justice, fair few fish on that particular one now though!that plug is gorgeous. nice job my man
How deep were you getting them.3 springs and 3 coho for me yesterday, fishing around red can
200 feet of water, fishing right on the bottomHow deep were you getting them.
Fished yesterday, green can. Lots of bait, coho hatchery and wild. Got our fish on 4”plugs and spoons 75-230’. Watch for those shakers to keep off.Looking to go out one last time. Anyone fished the green/red can or hump area in the last few days. Are there still coho and springs there? and bait?
