Yes, you are correct, I was thinking hatchery coho for some reason when I was out there so I could have kept one more pink for the 4 salmon daily total. Good to be under than over...ha. I had to let a beauty of a chinook go though, but happy with the one I kept, perfect table size.
I was out around Pt Atkinson last night with the kids, a couple hookups but no crazy action. Hey when you troll the point to the pink apts how deep of a bottom depth contour do you follow? I’ve not trolled there much and I’m not sure if I should be in 100 feet or deeper. Appreciate the humour and the pics, tight lines!!!

45 feet deep on both sides, I had double headers with a Chinook on one side and a pink on the other more than once. Crazy but so much fun. This is on one leg as I’m using crutches to get to the boat as I wait for hip surgery, but I don’t care, this is the best fishing summer I can remember for a long time, so I am not going to miss it.
I was honestly just going for pink, because as mentioned, I changed gear after trying for chinook, and it was the pink gear that the chinook were charging after.

What is pink gear? I've never fished for them as I much prefer Coho & Chinook.

It seems to have slowed to a simmer, (not the rapid, Oh shoot, I forgot the pasta! Kinda boil)
but I’m sure there is still some action to be found.

Fished noon to four in 28-6. Trolled mostly away from the pack at Pt Atkinson towards the pink apartments and back a couple times. Missed a pin popper and had a few small chinooks by the boat (all hatchery). Was about to give up when at 4pm tide change double header. Was solo so thankfully the chinook hit first and the pink waited patiently. Pink on spoon at 80’. Chinook on white hootchie at 100’. The beer tasted so good right now!

Fish RC to Cowen Thursday today, good action of pinks with a mix of coho, fish every 10 mins or so, with some double headers mix in, but i was trolling fast with coho gear, i put on a pick hoochie and had 4 pinks in 15 minutes so i took it off, too much work.

Fished WVan 3pm to 530, no action until tide change behind freighters near fisheries with big Chinook and a little pink double header. It was my partner Sue's 2nd time Chinook fishing and she picked the flasher & spoon, & played this 18lb, 79 cm chunky great while I played and landed my little pink and cleared they way to net hers! Wonderful afternoon fishing!

Fished Gower today. Constant action. Landed our limits. Played Pinks Hatch and wild Cohos and gently released a beautiful 84 cm Spring
