Saw 4 traps and one boat in the sponge reef closed areas. Can't teach stupid.

which area? I feel like they are so small you'd have to target them!

I don’t know ? There’s no retention in mid summer
I’m praying for a strong Sockeye return this year

Don't think they are stupid. They know exactly what they are doing. Call it in. I wouldn't take pictures as that would spook them. Get DFO off their asses to do their jobs. Not only dropping but hovering around the closed area means they have no fear of being caught.

What boat were they in? Brand, color etc?

SW of passage Island, two traps still there now

If they are Still there tomorrow I may pull them, dump all the prawn and sink them in a legal spot.

Put in a few hours at Gambier Hbr today. Kept two, released a couple unders and lost a good one. 165-205’, keepers came on AP anchovy spoon and a herring aid spoon.

Was out yesterday at Gambier 6 under to the boat lost 2 all at 119 and 149 ft on downrigger. Hopefully get into some bigger fish next weekend. Tight lines peeps

Worked Defence yesterday and was rewarded with two beauty fish. Another 7 or 8 unders to the boat.

We saw 1 but over at by the falls there were packs of them and a big ok sea lion most fish caught yesterday by most boats were over at gambier hit at all different depths lots of undersized but a good chunk of keepers were caught out there
