Jigged up some lings this morning around the S end of Texada. Biggest was the biggest I’ve ever caught.

Fished Epsom on my way to pender harbour from Port Moody. Double header in 10 minutes, both released. Saturday fished quarry, 2-5pm caught 7 kept 3. Today started right outside the harbour, hooked into one spring before getting to Martin island, hooked into another rounding Pearson. Lots of fish around.

McNaughton Point Double Header......

Worked the coastline from MiddlePoint to Secret and hammered a double header right at McNaughton point. Also nailed a large Blue ling (released) off McNaughton reefs. Still can't find a Coho........

I'm in the langdale ferry line now, will have lines in before noon. Figure I'm headed for Anderson Bay area and work my way back to roberts creek by dusk. So stoked to be back, see ya all out there and will report back. Tomorrow will be pilings and egmont then back to Secret Cove.

We fished Epsom around 11am but the wind drove us back into the harbour.

Fun and games yesterday with the boat, owner induced. Managed to rip up to epsom, bounce around, filled with fuel and headed back to the marina. Had a look around roberts creek and picked up a nice 12 lb red, 170' deep, 125' on the rigger. 5" ap spoon, gold.

Today I ripped up to SE Texada just east of upwood. Must have had a dozen to the boat in an hour and 2 of which were barely legal. All released. Hung around and about 630 bammoo it is on. Took a bit but picked up a nice 79 cm wild, double measure and it's legit. Same depth and gear but he was suspended in about 500' depth. Cheers

Fished epsom again today, had 7 unders and one 13lb around 10:30am. Awesome day out today. Counted 9 people mooching. Pictures attached are from the last couple days. All fish caught on the dr between 84ft and 118ft.

I was back off texada again today, had a low 60s right away and put him back, 3 unders until 11 then silence. Headed back to the cabin and back at it for the tide at 5

Fished quarry bay yesterday 30 mins before high slack bite was on tons of bait on surface and Columns up to 150ft
First one was 75 cm next was 73 and we were limited out we kept going and had to release 80cm plus all on homeland security at 90 ft in 85-150 water

City Slickers rolling in tomorrow! 2:25 ferry, Wallets full of gas, bait, etc. They have convinced me to drop prawn traps when they make head office in Halfmoon bay, will be reporting over the 3-4 days, wind or calm, sun or rain (Not!) we will enjoy, been way to long not fishing together. (Thanks true Dope and COVID) Good reports locally (inside) so giddy for the trip. Was hoping for better reports from ab1752 on the outer waters around Texada hopefully it picks up! Good luck all.

Fished from acland rock to quarry bay this morning. Non stop action on the anchovie and turd hoochie. Double headers and all. Anywhere from 84 ft to 151ft on the DR. 100-250ft water. Also know of 3 caught at the pilings, and last night at the shoals talk around the dock, friend of a friend had 10 to the boat in 2 hrs, biggest being 24lbs released.

Shut out earlier, picked up a beauty buzzer beater at 79 cms off roberts creek, 10 mins after dusk. White jughead 90' in 150'. That has happened to me many times now, and never gets old. Cheers

So....WIND! Thanks for that, 2 weeks of calm then full tanks of gas and no where to hide, did manage to sneak out and round trip the traps that were set Thursday. Prawns on! Quick stop in a lee on the way back ling on! See how today goes it may stay calm for a bit....

One single this am off roberts creek, beauty 69 cms 127 in 150' white jughead hoochie again. That's the bridge from metal to bait, which I haven't rolled at all this year. Gonna howl the next few days so if I can find a window, egmont here I come.
