Has anyone posted the gps coordinates for the outside line of the Banana? I'd love to mark it.

I made this Google map up a while ago to help me remember and to send to people when they asked where things are. The locations are not exact but pretty close. If you care about exactness, feel free to edit it and correct any mistakes or add any areas. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1z6XVPmab_Om2Av8LydY7xRfCn-w&usp=sharing If you open it on your phone (at least for me..) it'll show you your location so it can be pretty useful.

Snagged 2 prawn traps where float was 20 ft under water. Dann near busted my downrigger K Kong if you read this message then pm me. The number you noted on your float does not connect. Front of sunset marina

was the Number 604-476-1190 ???

Awesome map. I was hoping that the Fishing BC App would have done something like this.

Went out out for a Canada day adventure. Limited out on crabs . 5 prawn traps resulted in 15 prawns. Hammered this hog trolling a white and green hoochie. South Bowen. Lots of bait balls. Wicked day.
Yaaaaah Jackson!!! Yur sucked in now bud.

Started out a HITW this morning. Several other boats there but it was quiet. I did see some bait on the surface briefly but it didn’t stick around for long. Pulled up and headed over to Cowan Pt for an hour. Marked a few fish but no takers. Wind came up a bit so pulled up and ran back to HITW. Managed to get 1 keeper as I was pulling in the rods to head home - last rod in the holder popped off the clip as I was walking toward it to bring it in :-). Brought my neighbor out with me today and he was very happy to get a fish. Not very large (approx. 8lbs) but put up a good scrap nonetheless. Managed to get 5 nice keeper crabs to go with it on the way home. Very picturesque day on the water today. Looking forward to the next push of fish into the area. Fish was on an anchovy - nothing in it’s stomach.

Thanks for the map, Pete. I looked and realized that all I really need are the coordinates for one side of area 29-3 to create the Banana Line on my Garmin. Those would be listed below for Point Grey to North Arm Jetty Light to Sand Heads Light I believe. I think I found the Banana Line. ;)

Subarea 29-3
Those waters of the Strait of Georgia inside a line that

Just released 1 wild coho at roger curtis, homeland security spoon, 55 feet on the rigger,

Little bit sloppy out

Edit: just lost one on the surface rod, came out of the water and gone. Peeled some line out was fun

Just lost another coho, still sloppy out

2/5 just landed a hatch, on rod right at surface, starting

3/6 landed second hatch coho 45 feet white flash fly purple haze flasher

4/7 wild released same gear as above all at roger curtis

Ended up going 5 for 8, 3 wilds 1 on them being a real nice size.

South Bowen today - about 15-20 fish to the boat with many more hits but they didn't stick.

All wild coho except for 3 that went home with me.

40-50ft and Bon Chovy Skinny G -> about 5-8 hookups to the boat

25-30ft and Herring Aid Skinny G -> 10+ hookups to the boat

10-15 ft and Outfitter Skinny G (8oz mooching weight, no flasher with rod out the back) -> 3 hookups

This was all in about 180-200ft of water.

Best and first time this happened - landed a keeper and as it came into the boat it spat hook while in net. I grabbed the hook and flasher and tossed it back overboard and jammed rod back into the holder to deal with the fish. 5 seconds later I hear my reel start to scream as I hooked another, literally on the surface about 5 feet behind boat!! Landed that one but a wild so back it went.

Fished HITW Sunday 8am to 130am. No hits so moved to RC then it was on. Lots of coho to the boat. Getting them in the net and keeping them hooked was very hard! Kept one really nice one. Lost a 20 + lb spring right at the net! Spread the hook wide open! All in all great day but a bit rough for my 17 ft boat. All hits in the top water column. 30 to 70 ft. Small spoons. Pesca and kitchen sink. 150 to 250 ft of water. Had at least 15 bites but by the time I gt to the rod and tried setting the hook it was gone. Act fast guys! Lots of hatchery and wild out there. Saw lots caught. Good luck

Had a great morning on the water Sunday, lots of boats and lots of fish being caught off the south side of Bowen. Hooked into a beaut spring 19lb and 2 wild (released) 3 hatchery keepers. As mentioned saw lots of fish being caught which is exciting. On one side we were running the purple phantom with a 3.5 cop car spoon anywhere from 60-90ft the otter one was 30-55 with cop car flasher and a glow spoon,?we were moving at decent clip most of the time.

Stoked.
