Millsy we will be running the inlet in the AM friday and probaly fishing on our way in and arrive mid-late afternoon to checkin. What channel will you be on?

Hi Kelly, apparently some things have changed and it looks like I won't be up this weekend. Osama will be there though, and he'll most likely be out on the water. He's usually on 6.

Good luck, looks like it's going to be a sweet weekend.

Hey Fogducker, SeaWolf and I are planning to be staying at the Nook June 1st and 2nd, (our maiden voyage of the year) any chance you will be there, it would be great to hook up with you......... SS

I'm here all weekend and will be fishing the hell out of it. One of my best buddies is arriving in a couple hours from NWT and is ichin' for fichin'.

We should do a convoy offshore or something fun maybey...

All for the wobllies SS.

Jay call me when you get in.

Gimee the gaff!!!

left Nanaimo at 4:30 this morning. Lines in the water at Kirby by 7:30...limit of 6 by 10:00. Lost a few and had several hit-and-runs. Osama was in the same area having similar success. Green spackleback at 90'.
Best couple hours of fishing I've experience in a long time.
Largest around 25 lbs.
All fish completely stuffed with 4" needlefish.
On a side note, there's some beauty sockeye in the river already.

Hey Kelly

Tell us all about your trip to Bamfield on Friday.

Something tells me you didn't make it out.

Fill us in on the details as to why please.

Should be an interesting story.

Maybe you should stick to swimming young fella.

Hey Osama, what is the name of your boat and what channel do you monitor? Hope to see you, we will be there Mon, Tues and Weds at the Nook but will likely be stopping by the General Store in Bamfield to "stock up" on any depleted supplies....;) SS

Haha no idea what you mean there mark? But yes i drilled a hole right through my electrical harness the night before while putting on swivels so now i owe the rents 300$. Who knew the existing bracket hole that i resized lead right into it.

Had an awsome trip. No idea how many we caught but it was a ton maybe 40+ landed over the weekend and more lost. Most were in the 4-12 Lb range but we caught fish up to 25 lbs. Fished kirby up to edward king and everyone was hitting fish and they were packed with needlefish. Fished 80-120 ft.

Osama good to meet you.right after you limited this morn we found a school and hit 5 in maybe 10 minutes just doing a loop and landed 4 to end the trip. Kept a couple teeners. Forgot to also tell you that lastnight was insane the evening bite was better than the morning.

Tried for hali jigging a few spots and went out to 7 mile and dragged our balls for a few hours today. Hit one high teens spring right off the bat at 220ft then nothin. Hit a big snapper and a ling yesterday jiggin but no flatties.

Highlights were probaly hitting a 20 in the propwash reeling in lastnight while my buddy was playing a twin 20lber. Also there was seal up at eddy king thats taking fish. Hes not that good as we got 3 fish away from him. Had a few funny looks when we literally threw the fish in the boat by grabbing the leader instead of netting because he was trying to grab em. Also got my parents to land their first salmon that was a gongshow. Post pics later.

What an awesome weekend! Fished Pill Saturday afternoon, played about 15 fish and kept 5, there were lots of little guys. Saturday night we went to Kirby and in about an hour played another 10 and kept 3 for our limit. We could have had a hundred it was crazy - fish after fish after fish. This morning headed back to Kirby and played another 10 and kept 5. The family decided they were done so we headed back home with a bakers dozen. Nothing over 12 lbs and anywhere from 90 to 150 feet. Get out there while it's hot!

Business time what boat were you in?

Bigchrome the report was appreciated and useful. We didnt move around much though it since there were plenty holding around kirby.

Mark, he actually did it was funny he suprisingly was pretty good. Mom also played about 10 landed about 5 on saturday evening but that was a gongshow!

Hey Business Time. Nice Ride. I have the same boat! Thinking of doing trip to Bamfield after the August long weekend. Never been to Poets Nook how is it? much of a run to the fishing grounds? I have fished outside Bamfield harbour along the wall and at Pill Point but we have just done day trips up from China Creek.

SR - Thanks, you too.
Poett Nook is great, there is lots of space, ice, gas, bathrooms.
Check out the website www.poettnook.com

It's only about 10 min from The Wall and about 15 min from Pill Pt. So your not far from the action.
