fuel prices here in Mexico haven't gone up yet 1.42 for regular and 1.55 per liter for 91 octane
Pemex is a state-run monopoly. Their reserves are declining. Next year, it will stop all exports. Unfortunately it has been losing $billions with politically motivated, artificially low, domestic fuel prices. That will have to change.

Last time I filled our car at Costco in Cabo, before we came back I paid 20 pesos/liter (about $1.23 Cdn). Quite a disparity!

Great read.

B.C. is unique in Canada, Muralidharan said, because the province is a net importer of gasoline and diesel, and mostly doesn’t import from other parts of the country. While some supply comes to B.C. via the Trans Mountain pipeline, and there are in-province refineries, most of the barrels come from the refineries in Washington state.

2.68 in Nanaimo

Pender Harbor / Secret Cove is about the same. I didn't really need to fill up but figured I would add 175L before heading back down, and before I looked up and saw the price per L haha.

While the trip was brief, and I had my butt handed to me on the run up the Straits on Thursday, it was an epic trip and I am going to head up again asap. Let's hope this new transducer project that happens this afternoon goes smooth...I need all the help I can get out there!

So I did the calculations for anyone that feels like its worthwhile to go to Semiahmoo Marina Fuel Dock.
Lots of savings to be had for big tanks.

and of course we have to convert what the US pays per gallon into litres so the difference in the end is much more than 1 cent! 183.39 a litre at the US price of $5.45 USD a gallon works out to $8.28 CAD a gallon. Quite a difference from the US price of $5.45 a gallon!

Point Roberts would also be an option. I have never done the whole clearing customs thing from my vessel, so not sure on the steps.
These are the prices posted on their website.

From what I'm seeing in rising fuel costs and restricted fishing , I'm glad I kept my old 16 footer.
Gets me out on the water cheap !
Was just telling my wife how I miss my Double Eagle......... and the 90hp. Run all day on that thing.

Time to buy a second boat.

For those of you that aren't aware, I was robbed at a gas station
earlier this morning.
After my hands stopped trembling, I managed to call the Police.
They were quick to respond and calmed me down because my blood
pressure went through the roof!
My money is gone.
The police asked me if I knew who it was and I told them,
"Yes, it was pump number 2.”

So happy I didn't buy a larger boat especially now having to run in remote areas longer distances. Was pretty close. Now ones like mine 150hp downward will be in higher demand.

I really wanted a Grady White in 22-24ft range like my buddy @Derby but not sure I could afford it long run now.

Have been on a bit of a road trip in the US this past week. Have seen prices as high as $6.75 a gal (California) to as low as $4.27 (Wyoming). In any given town you can drive a few blocks and the price from station to station can change 30 to 50 cents, unlike what we see on the island where they are usually all the same price in a given town.
