1977 Double Eagle 206 Build

Black 3M trim added to the edges around the boat and cubbies. Really adds some nice contrast and lines!

Boat looks amazing. Beauty work. Do you happen to know the measurements of your pod? Mostly just the size or the main box. Designing mine now and want to try and keep it sitting level in the water. Worried about messing up the weight move to the stern and floatation.

Really depends on the boat. If you have a different boat it will likely have different size requirements. I told the builder what I would be hanging off it so they could make the floatation appropriate

For sure. Every boat holds the weight a little different. Was just curious because it’s a similar setup to what I’m doing.

Little update. Windows now have new glazing rubber, cubbies now have black trim on the inside instead of the old chrome, and the Cuddy deck has been gel coated. Next to prep the Cuddy for hull liner.

First time home in awhile. Needs a good wash and cut polish. A little before and after from where it started. Final steps are the hull liner.

Drop curtain and some sloping back alterations made to accommodate rigger bases.

Rob with Island Time boat tops (Port Alberni) did the job.

Couple more shots showing drop curtain with rear seats. They fit nicely, but will need to be turned in as expected. Once rolled up, they snap out of the way.

Also a board was made to make the Cuddy bed fully useable. Going to have the cushions made up here shortly.

How do you like the shockwave seats?

I haven't really put them to a true test yet. But IMO $900 for a shock absorbing seat will pay dividends on my back health so the cost really is worth it to me.

From speaking with others who own them, it's been described as a night and day difference.

I have experience with other suspension seats and honestly could not do without.

I think the Shockwave Seats and the diesel heater were the two best things we did for creature comfort in our build.

I am tall and we got the high backs and they are excellent because I get full back support.

I will have to invest in a couple as I have had two back surgeries and don’t want a third. I already have the diesel heater ready to install. Going up to Port Alberni tomorrow to work on the boat and hope to get the floor in and have it ready to be glassed
