Nice day to be out on the water but pretty quiet as far as fishing went around the gap. For myself anyways. Crabbing was good. Kept four keepers but threw back a couple of monsters that were a little too soft. They seemed to like Turkey carcass, stuffing and all.
Looking for any tips or pointers for bottom fish (ling specifically) in oak bay/waterfront in Victoria. I’ve had a bit of luck with a keeper ling off east discovery but most fish are well undersized.
anyone have any tips or pointers to potentially get on some bigger fish?
thanks!
So ... do they come in along the flats and into the gap, or are they like the pinks and generally avoid us out here?
New to this, so apologies if this is already well known or covered elsewhere in the threads.
