You may break the record for longest thread ever
Admin says if I hit 1000 comments I start getting paid lol. Joking obviously. I was wondering when you'd pipe in!

So be it, hes spending a 100'g, he should take his time and not settle on just anything. Middle of winter is when you always see good deals on sweet boats. Take your time buddy
Haha thanks man I appreciate the backup. Dan has that subtle tongue in cheek assholeness that I have, well maybe not so subtle. I get him, it's all good. Plus we're cousins so he's allowed to give me the gears.

Not sure how many Cutwaters were built but looks like there are 96 for sale on Yachtworld

It sounds like a large portion of the boats they have ever built are for sale? I wonder if you could use the number of boats bought on credit listed for sale to predict the US economy crashing? I'd start firing off low ball offers and see what sticks. Can you moor in Point Roberts until the tariffs are dropped?

It's ok were related so I'm allowed to jab him lol

Took me 2 years to find my boat, didnt seem to be any for sale at all. Then bam 3 came up all at once. Of course mine was the best considering I never looked at the other 2...hahaha. RC you will definitely find the right boat through your process. Meantime have you been trying to sell the bayliner? If so fire over the link I know someone who could be interested. Cheers

RC wants $100k for his Bayliner. Never seen it but it’s amazing! He would also trade straight across for a 28’ Cutwater!

It's the fishiest bayliner cruiser out there. Definitely worth 100k.

I haven't been trying no. Since the new boat would go in a new slip I was considering waiting until March to sell the bayliner.

As someone who also pays for more than one slip I approve of this strategy. You're gonna have a "boating burner visa" in no tine flat.

Haha yeah it's called the "company visa"

Has anyone suggested a glacier bay? This link might not be the one but they are nice. Bench seating, level entry, enclosed and lots of windows. Kitchen above. The 29's are really nice. Outboard and fishing machines too. Up the budget and check out Aspen C100 etc

Don’t discount these boats. cheaper than cheap to run and stable. with your kids and wife and cruising blah blah may not be the best but i was in some crazy water with one of these and wasn’t scared at all

Going to go look at the 2004 Commander 26 again. As much as eveyone loves the command bridge I may have convinced the wife that if we lop it all off and wrap the hull in a regal blue it'll be a pretty sharp looking boat. And also get rid of the green carpet. I think I really like the idea of the 300 HP single diesel. Specs say it cruises at 24 knotts and is max 35! That's pretty good. Still has a 10.5' beam, no 11'-11" but better than 8.5'. Also if the motor goes in a few years I can REALLY make it look cool.

You'd be crazy to remove the command bridge lol. Remove the ladder or get a canvas cover or something for now then use it with your friends or kids when older.

Good luck on the hunt.

It has a full canvas cover. Maybe just get rid of the bimini and throw the seats in storage. I'd rather have the space to store traps and other junk. My wife just hates the "top heavy" look of it with the bimini up. I still need to convince her this is the better plan remember.

Finally going after one of my ideas! I like my fried chicken extra crispy

Ya you guys will end up liking the command bridge, it’s a sweet place to be chilling and taking it all in. The carpet may be great right now for the kid, essentially the inside will be like s big play pen. Maybe replace the blue coverings with black or grey as well as the pin stripes and it will look a lot sharper. I think commander is the way to go. You should check out the 92 that just came up
