Where to go for halibut

so we are going to bamfield( Barkley sound) I know it is short notice but any hints on a boat in place to stay with a room or small cabin?

If you don't mind the high seas, Winter Harbour hands down due to all the other quality fishing available on the way to and from the hali grounds.

If you want flatter water, Port Hardy or McNeill at the spots mentioned above. Nahwitti bar out of Hardy is also excellent, but a longer run and can be in the swell much like Winter Harbour.

We are heading to Bamfield next Friday for the weekend. Plan is fish for Chinook Friday, head off shore Saturday to the banks for halibut. Hopefully anchor up. I have lots of time running in the swells and fog so should be good then hit the rock piles on the way in.
7 mile bank good this time of year or should we go to 20 mile. ( I think that the locations) never fished off shore in Bamfield so should be good and only fished inside the broken group once
