I'm making my own long weekend, either this one or next. Local Vancouver area saltchuck is coming along and will be good for a while, so while summer is still here I want to go a little further afield. I've been to Port Hardy already and did really well with Halibut so don't need to go that far.
So here is the question, where is a nice place to go, generally locally, where we can anchor in a cove somewhere and target salmon. I would prefer Coho if we can keep them, pretty sure sockeye are out of the question anywhere. Springs are OK, but I can catch them here in Vancouver. Any good ideas?
