What's the strongest glue??

I want to adhere vinyl pvc to flexible clear plastic that is similar to the same plastic that they use in packaging shells. Any ideas? Need the bond to be as strong as possible.

earth bond, kinda like vulcanizing in a can, just checked in my shop, made by maruni, might be the application you need?


or maybe a pvc glue with a primer to heat it up,, got some spare mateials for testing? polyfusion?

I don't think that I can use heat fusion, unless it was chemically induced, based on the two substrates. There is no way to clamp the items as that would damage the one surface. Is Maruni more for rubber or can it also be used on vinyl? THNX.

poly fusion is heat,,,,,, earth bond seems to work on anthing pvc or rubber... try it on a test peice... cant clamp it? what about putting some sort of soft liner between the clamp and the material? primer is like chemical induced heat. scuff, prime, glue, and hold it with something? WURTH also makes something like crazy glue,, kloberfix? used this alot also....

I have used plumbers gunk/goo. Dries clear, and handles water situations to put rubber/ plastic rod butts on. Been about 5 years and never had a problem. You get it at Crappy tire.
Sorta like shoo go, but I think called plumber goo or something.

Cheerios and milk. Ever try to get one of those unstuck from the bowl if you've left them out for the day? They harden into a substance harder than diamond.

Few years back they used to make this glue for plastic model cars. It would actually WELD the plastic pieces together
.
Once it was glued that was it.......you couldn't pull the pieces apart.

That stuff is hard to find now....all the model glue I see around is cheap crap that just forms a surface bond.

If you can ever find some of the stuff I mentioned it might be worth a try .....but good luck finding it....

Don't bother going to Michael's....all they have is the cheap s**t.

A two part epoxy like West Systems 105 resin with 205 hardener will make an incredibly strong bond. You won't need much so get the smallest containers available like in a fiberglass repair kit.

I know it bonds well to PVC but I'm not certain about the type of plastic you are using.
