Back to having lox, cream cheese, cappers, and bagels for breakfast.
I just pick-up my lox from Finest at Sea. This year I opted to go to Finest at Sea and not St Jeans to get my fish made into lox.
The lox turned out excellent. Very lite smoke flavor, not fishy at all and tender. They cut the fish different than SJ and a little thicker but it was still tender. They told me they have a new slicer and that Finest at Sea provides the Empress Hotel with lox and they have never had a complain.
It was also closer to home and I'm very impressed with the lox and their Candy smoked white spring they did.
The photo is of a package which I just removed the vacuum packed plastic.
