I’m not a fan of the angle on those tubesGrabbed a buddies scotty stacker rod holder when I saw he put it on marketplace. Pretty happy with it first trip out, 10 fish to the boat and missed a bunch of hits but not due to the rod position. Not sure if I'll keep it but nice to try.

The stock angle vertically or the position they're set in? I love these things, but only if the riggers are set low enough that you're not reaching too much.I’m not a fan of the angle on those tubes
If you ever film yourself landing the boat remotely from the dock, using your phone, please post it up here.yep. no obsolete stuff here.
maybe i'll ebay the old stuff.
cant actually handle the boat solo with analog controls. the digital ones have remote handhelds and programming so i can control the boat steering and propulsion from the dock - or my phone. hard to control something the size of 3 semi trucks side by side solo without crew unless you use digital help.
Shouldn't the U-bolt be pulling down?Added an anti-rattle hitch tighener before the trip to Tofino. Didn't even know these things existed. Doesn't mount perfectly but sure nice to remove the big kerchunk that happened every minute on this road. https://amzn.to/4fTBbBA #ad

Yeah. It is designed to work on a hitch that doesn’t have all the stuff mine has unfortunately.Shouldn't the U-bolt be pulling down?
likely end october. i'll have to test it out anyway prior to atlantic crossing in november. If you ever film yourself landing the boat remotely from the dock, using your phone, please post it up here.
Oh I see, you have those bars... You're not just running negative tongue weightYeah. It is designed to work on a hitch that doesn’t have all the stuff mine has unfortunately.

I like the angle better on rods that point straight back. The ones out the side the rods are a pointing a bit higher than I like. They are pretty easy to grab the rods out. Overall I’m glad I have themThe stock angle vertically or the position they're set in? I love these things, but only if the riggers are set low enough that you're not reaching too much.

I prefer a lower angle on the rod. Each to their ownThe stock angle vertically or the position they're set in? I love these things, but only if the riggers are set low enough that you're not reaching too much.
I think they’re a great design due to their strength and choice of two different angles. My center console helm, I have the downrigger’s in line with them so as I’m driving the boat, I can see the cable angle and the rods in the forward position easily. If I have guest that sit upfront in those lodge style seats, I get them to use the rearward angle rodholder so the guest can run back if there’s a strike and the rod comes out easy because they’re pointed to the back which is the way they’re running. I do know what you mean by the lower angle, some guide boats that I fish around here have the rods almost at the same degree of an angle as the downrigger boom .I prefer a lower angle on the rod. Each to their own
It looks like you’re west of Fairfax in this photo. 18-6Had them out tonight plus a rod put the back with a naked spoon and 6oz slip weight. 1/1 on a just under 59cm

Mans owned the boat for quite a while, as much as i would like to think he went out and got skunked to take a photo for me he probably grabbed it from his old photos. It looks like you’re west of Fairfax in this photo. 18-6
( pretty sure that it’s closed for salmon retention for the month of August )
East ( 18-4 ) is open except for the whale sanctuary
There was no retention done. We followed the herd on the east side and we were just cruising back in around the corner then pulled up and went home. If we caught one there we would’ve let it go.It looks like you’re west of Fairfax in this photo. 18-6

No concern on my part. I’m not the fish cops. ( I only noticed the closure because I was looking up something else recently )There was no retention done.
