Welded aluminum build

I couldn’t live without a raw water wash down pump . I bet I go thru at least 100 gallons when fishing offshore with 3 guys…. 20+ fish hitting the deck , 5.5 gpm pump , cleanup at the end of day…. It adds up quick.

You go through less than you think. My Northwest and this Lux Build have both a raw water wash down and a freshwater wash down. I never use the raw water, both through hulls are closed. The only time I open them is a 12+ hour tuna day where you are boxing 40-50 tuna. Way nicer washing the boat as you go with freshwater. Plus the boats both ride significantly better with the added fresh water weight.

I’ve got ping pong ball scuppers on my self bailing 20’. Takes 2-3 big guys in the corner to bring a bit of water in. Never has been considered a negative at all.
Hey, just curious what was the build cost on that without the motor? That's an unreal looking boat and I'm trying to figure out what the final cost would be for just the hull if I went with a custom build. Thanks in advance

That really depends, there are so many variables.

Centre Console, Cabin Boat, interior finishing, types of seats, barebones build or one that has spousal inputand approval , amount of aluminum used and thickness, wrap, paint, or just bare aluminum,

All done sans motor

$5-10K a foot

The boat has moved on to the rigging stage. Super happy with the build. Matt has been great to work with.

Does anyone have experience with Jenkins Marine or Sherwood for bottom paint? Jenkins seems to have the best quote. They're about $800 less than Sherwood. I am more concerned about the quality of work than the price difference.

Is your plan to wait until the boat is completely finished/filled with fuel before you splash the boat and mark the waterline? It’s truly the only way to get it perfect. Sweet sled!!!

Did mine at jenkins last year on my new 27 northwest - I am happy with it , price was better than sherwood and more convenient as I live in sooke. Sherwood uses the same stuff joutan ( might have mispelled)

Thanks, I ended up going with Sherwood. They were a bit more money but not a crazy difference.
