Vancouver Boat Show

Headed down now, probably roll in around 4 and stay for a few hours.
 
I am heading there this after noon as well as going for a sea trial as well sometime this week.
I have never been so I have been holding off buying gear as I heard there is usually some good deals there.
 
I just got home from the show. The boat portion is the same as last year, with a couple more manufacturers this year and a few nice offerings. There are some cool Bling items in the upper ring where all the stores are, but on the whole I wasn't that impressed.

The highlight was visiting Dane, Moose and the guys in the Harbour Chandler booth and picking up some of Dane's newly designed, and just released today, Pimp Shrimp Hoochies/needlefish/squid plastics. Very nice....and they have huge eyes!!! Pic attached.

Finally....yes they are spelled wrong....Dane is blaming the factory!!!! LOL

Down tonight as well after 6 pm. Its a great chance to see all the major fishing gear retailers in a small space to compare and buy. I'd like free passes as well. Hate paying the entrance fee and parking. Oh well.
 
Hey Keith. Did HC have a big booth? I have $150 gift certificate for HC and would like to avoid going to Nanaimo.

Hey Chris,

Its a good size booth and lots of stock, reels, rods, tackle, clothes, electronics and a killer booth within theirs for LED lighting for boats.....that was my favorite thing. Some nice LED stuff for the new boat.....and definitely worth checking out. They are right beside interior exit 203 on the upper ring.

I would go ASAP before everything is picked over!!

Keith, I haven't fished that pattern you posted but a few of their other patterns were the go to gear of the summer.

Their booth was ok, lots and lots of goodies for sure and great deals, I picked up this Rigid for 25% off , great deal I figured



Nikka has a hugh booth and you got to check it out because they had some great deals, but what they had I didnt need
 
Did anyone notice if Mike from the HC was there
 
Im heading down to the Seatle boat show Saturday and then over/down to the Puyallup sportsman show sunday

Was there last night but I was pretty disappointed, didn't see much new stuff, there are some good deals at the HC and nikka booths, I picked up a few more convergence rods. Looking forward to saturdays, Cabellas, Seattle boat shows and Washington sportsmanns show tour!
 
Heading over today on what is probably the worst day to check it all out but its my only opportunity! Too bad I work during all the sport fishing stuff. Never been so I am sure I wont be disappointed. Excited! Boats! And who doesn't like a free seminar?
