Van to Sooke or Vic.

Son's got some time off work. Thinking of taking the boat
from Van. out for some Halibut. Thought about staying on hook or Gov wharf. Never done this. Any thoughts or suggestions? Where to stay,fish, fuel, how long for run, etc.

I'd get some moorage in Oak Bay then go play on the rock piles there for hali. Look up the Oak Bay Marina. Or for the cost of runnin a ri over, talk to myself or one of the other guides here about putting you on some Hali.

Winter rates in the Victoria inner harbour are in effect. Fish all day , go out for a steak and beers at night!
