Still loads of them. And I'm hunting hard for the Idjut that stole all 4 of our traps!

A LOT of hali's out on the Big Bank, but quite a few right close on both South and Lighthouse banks. Springs chiefly tight in, less on the outside banks than I've seen in a while. Both the inside Banks and Great Bear performing right well today! Drag the needles in the mud for best success.

Same Boat as the last couple of seasons - upgraded mechanics this winter [^]

Todd has the Leader Board for June. His 35lb 3 oz spring must have been Good for the $7K this month. Won't stand through July / August, but a nice little shot for him in June! Gonna have to work on that one...[}]

Cool website. I only spotted one anchovy on the leaderboard info.

On another note, it sounds like my friend's got the old guy into some fish and they all had a great time. Too bad he may not remember much by the time he gets home. Sucks to get old.

I see they have listed the entire Ucluelet inlet as closed to crabbing under "Contamination Closures".

No other Notices, Nothing posted at any of the launchs / harbors, and a LOT of pots out there right now. Methinks were it still closed, there would be some kind of presence to let everyone know [?]

Well honestly not sure, I would eat any crab out of the inner Ucluelet basin anyway – way too much stuff in there that personally I don’t want to eat.

If you are in Barkley Sound about anywhere on the north shore abeam Forbes, David, and St Ines Islands and around the islands themselves. That’s about 6-7 miles from the mouth of the inlet. There is also a great place to anchor for the night on the north end of Clarke Island!

Great advice Charlie. The Maggie River mouth is a good spot.
