From a Facebook Trophy 2359 page, here are some outboard pod conversions. The one with twin 150's is definitely intriguing. The Suzuki is a 300.

God I wish my power train was old and a piece of $hit so I could warrant putting a couple 140 suzukis on my Trophy because what a great project that would be.

would you really do the twins? No kicker I assume if you did.

We ran twins on my fishmaster boat at the lodge and I would definitely do it again , more is always better right. Not sure there would be room for the kicker but I would like one. I'm pushing 70 and only put about 100 hours a year on a main 5.0 MPI that has about 550hrs on it. So I'm pretty sure that it will last the rest of my fishing and boating career. I think I'll try and keep the Telegraph Cove program going till I'm 75 and then sell and just make a couple lodge trips to different places till I can't reel or stand up anymore. This is all assuming DFO let's us fish another 10 years or so.

Well the good news is its an I/O so it could blow up tomorrow! I know all too well.

Looking at most of these I don’t see many structural improvements but maybe I missed those pics? I have done a few bayliners now and the transom area outside of where the drive was mounted is not very thick i think they really should get some more core and glass added or use the existing motor mount locations and add bracing. I can’t seem to find any other photos of the finished work but this is what I’m referring too.. 3B34B214-8F21-44B3-ACE9-B93D68F0447E.jpeg

I only saw one open bilge photo, and the clean up wasn't done yet so maybe there was more work after it was taken?

Some newer pics from the Trophy 2359 Facebook page. Notice the good fiberglass work to fill in the doghouse opening vs doing an aluminum checker plate cover.

I love seeing all these outboard conversions but I'm surprised these boats sit in the water on the same angle as the I/O . I wonder if the pod were full transom width if they would ride higher. If I ever did it I would like to put 2 140hp suzukis so more weight.

I have always liked the design of this boat. You get a decent enclosed cabin, cuddy and decent dance floor. Wish they made more designs like this. Podding these boats is the way to go with a boat like this IMO.

Absolutely, shore power was an option too, they were great pocket cruisers too. Bayliner reintroducing this in a pod outboard version would be sweet.
