Trailer Load Guides

I want to add load guides to my EZ Loader. Has anyone made a custom-built galvanized guide like a DIY project? Where can you get the steel work done and is it even worth the time and money?
What would be a good alternative to a DIY project? I saw a pair similar to the one in the picture at a marine store and they are ridiculously expensive.

[Hookin'up]

just get some galvanised or aluminized pipe bent up from a muffler shop at the lengths you need and put round PVC plastic over it and your good to go.
secure it with u bolts

Joizus it's long though. Shudder at what it must cost on ferry.
