Hey Tips, is that the fish the seal hit? It looks un scaved, not even teeth marks in it! That would be strange. But wow, What a beauty of a fish!

looking forward to some big slabs this year some nice springs and coho. but as we all no its a pink year and they can be fun too good for the bbq. when do you figure the pinks will start showing up?

I think it was early June when we first hit a school off otter when fishing for springs two years ago.

What a bunch of B.S this slot closure for Southern Vanc island is...
Look at the Vanc,Nanaimo reports , they are all catching unclipped
fish and good sizes too, and we are closed ???
What a bunch of crap to think that some of their fish can't be early Fraser runs.
We are unfairly penalized here by an organization(DFO) who doesn't get it.

That's nuts for a hatchery, nice to hear its worth going out.
Would like to see a picture of that 40# "hatchery" spring. Those fin clipped fish around Victoria are almost all Puget Sound hatchery fish and I couldn't name a river in the Puget Sound area that would have any number of 60+# springs in them - because that's what that fish would have weighed in the fall when the Puget Sound springs head for the rivers. The large mature fish around here now are all pretty much upper Fraser bound...??? No allegations but catching a 40# clipped spring in early May would be as probable as winning the lottery...[?]
