hey guys, so lets finalize things here - the fish count is 40k and it sounds like we 'should' have enough to get all those done (he says 25k is a good day but not sure if he has had this many before).
Final look
Sat: Rockdog+1 to 2pm, Rockfish +2, Tsquare, Xena +1 am (try to negotiate with thawk +1 for pm switch), Fish stalker, Zed+1, Jammer+1
Sun: Nautigirl, David C+2, Seadog, Lipripper +4, Chris73+3 (2 kids), me, sammyslabber+1, Karma kazi

Gate will be open until 9am at the latest - anything after that, you need to call hatchery at # above...lunch around noon as said...don't bring your dogs please - request for this weekend only.

Last of what Robert just sent me here:
As many of you know the forestry gate is normally closedand locked on weekends unless we have someone posted there. The hatchery isapproximately 2 KM from the gate, straight up Butler main , first right ontoBoneyard main and the hatchery is immediately on the right.

So we don’t have to keep sending someone from thehatchery down to the gate , we would like everyone to arrive and depart at thesame time if at all possible. Some of you can only do a half day , that isfine.
Car pool if you can and or drive your compact car ratherthan your motor home to maximize parking at the hatchery.

There are a couple of places you can drop a vehicle nearthe hatchery and car pool if you are that organized.
Just before the forestry gate on butler main on the right hand side At the new 4 way stopon Youngs Lake road at Butler main , there is a bit of a culdesac on the leftNo guarantees on security etc

As mentioned , if you happen to find yourself behind thegate ( Locked ) call the hatchery , 250-642-0031 We will come and get you andbring you up to the hatchery to scrub out tanks for the first couple of hours !

Happy clipping to the Saturday crew and thx to those that realize we are the ones that need to be proactive and help out! See the Sunday crew there.

Hi Dave I had said I would bring one or two but it looks like just one so there will be two of us total, not three.

It looks like my son (+1) is not going to make it. I may be able to bring another. Xena, what time were you planning on leaving? I can most likely make it by 12:30, possibly a little earlier. or later if that is to early for you. let me know what you think. Thanks
Angus

Thanks guys for a cool experience! We really enjoyed helping out, look forward to next year! What was the final count for today? Thanks, Xena

I believe we were over 25000 total.
nice work guys - based on that, i would assume we don't need the extra staff tomorrow for those guys on standby. See the rest of you tomorrow and thanks to the gang today for your help!

Thank you Deewar, my son and I really enjoyed our morning there. Great bunch of people, and it was nice to meet a few of the members.
Thanks,
See you at the derby!!

That was fun yesterday--good to meet some new people and reconnect with some old friends.

thanks gang for everyone that came out and helped - lots of fun today, nice putting a face to the handle of many - looks like we topped upwards of 50k and with the winter conditions we had, much larger and hopefully much better survival rate. nice that the hatchery guys made it more interesting with some draw prizes and as always, great bbq. Until next year :)

I think we can agree on the good company and good food. Adding to the fishable salmon is a great bonus. I highly recommend participating in the clipping to anyone who will read or listen. As someone said yesterday, it is great to see the fishing forum gather and work together to accomplish a goal like this. Well done. Thanks Deewar25 for getting the crew together and to those working the road gates, food prep, and BBQ.
