latest from Mel - sounds like he may be willing to do more than normal as he thinks tracking is becoming that much more important...he is talking to the SSE members to see what they are willing to do and will get back to me. I think in prior years, this was the response I always hoped and assumed we'd get so I appreciate everyone that is willing to step up here!

hey there, so far I haven't heard from Mel yet about firm plans. I see last year it was end of May and I think its been typically early June (I remember clipping then running out to the 24 hour relay same day to cook)! I have Chris73 following up on this as I am heading to Australia tomorrow until the end of March, so if not by then, I will get an answer early April for you and try to schedule everyone in.

just an update for those wondering. still waiting for mel to set dates and determine how many days we run. last report based on current size, he figures it will be close to mid may, so assume either weekend 12th 13th or 19th 20th to start with and we will go from there. I will post days as soon as I know for sure.

good point on that, I noticed as I posted earlier in the thread that it is 'typically' end of May (even begin June in the past)...I'll remind Mel that though JIC as the size of fry I guess dictates the schedule, but I suspect its fine. I'd rather later anyway as its a pain in the arse when they are really small...and thats me! Can't imagine you! lol

hey guys, things are firming up now - Mel is wondering if we can also help out at Charters Creek - they have 8000 to clip there - it will be on the 13th (yes I know, hali derby weekend), but they only need 6 or 7 for that on the Sunday, so I assume it shouldn't be hard to find some available. Any takers there? Good chance to see the new facilities as well.
As for Jack Brooks, looks like that clip will be the weekend of 26th and 27th - he is talking 40-50k to clip - I am checking if thats the only weekend as I know there were about 30 interests and we could easily do double that. He will confirm how much space there is and how many people so just check your calendar for that date and I will follow up when I get more info. If you know you can't make that weekend and was interested prior, drop me a PM or reply here so I can cross you off the list.
