Actually boiled crab is a great snack because when you rinse your fingers in the saltwater it’s fingerlickin good. Now I fish from a little boat so I am close to the water and I just reach my hands over the pontoon. For those of you in a real boat it may not be quite that easy. But the taste is exquisite, briny air, salty fingers, and sweet dungeness, is fabulous.
Not to mention that the shells can just go over the side with complete abandon.

Crab works anytime

Yes, but I like eating the crab fat under the top shell so it can be very messy. So when I am done eating I can wash my face and hands, dump the shells overboard as I go, and there is no evidence of the crime, so to speak

It’s funny because everything in my lap goes flying,**it goes all over the boat, I’m always like did I just throw my phone over?!, it’s always on the deck in some fish slime. Funny though, fish hits and nothing else matters.
