Any reports of decent fishing in this area right now? We were going to run our boat from Sidney around to Victoria/Sooke area this weekend, but now the forecast is for storm conditions all weekend. We're now thinking of trying some of the old "hotspots" in the Sidney area: Coal Island, Arbutus Island, Wain Rock, Separation Point. I did hear of a 17# Salmon caught at Arbutus Island last weekend...I just spent the last few days feverishly trying to get our new boat ready to fish, and now the weather turns :(

**Chinook: Subareas 19-7 to 19-10 (Saanich Inlet): August 1 to October 15, 2010: Non-retention of Chinook Salmon. Listed on 01/06/2010 FN0391

Yeah, I know about the chinook non-retention, I was asking if there was any other action, ie: coho. How about the Pender Bluffs? It's always been known as a good spot for pinks and sometimes sockeye, so do coho run through there too? I guess I'm just looking for somewhere to fish...
