Sidney bc fishing sept 12

I’m planning on doing some fishing this Thursday afternoon. Fog permitting.
I have a big old boat that only goes seven or 8 kn so I can’t go all over the place.
Wonder what folks would recommend for Chinook salmon fishing should I go over to the east side of moresby and fishing the 1 km area or should I head to area 19 and try either the powder wharf at James Island or the east side of Sydney Island towards Hamily

We fished the south side of Porlier off Dionisio yesterday from 930-230. Lots of bait in the 190-240' range. No keepers but had a bunch in probably the mid 50's and a couple just unders. Purple flasher and small spoons were getting the most hits. Not much luck with hoochies or plugs. Decent haul of prawns to end the day at least. Sun and light winds made for a beauty day to end 2023.

We did a trip out to Constance yesterday - the drop off at the south end was the most productive. 80 feet on the DR . The waterfront was dead.
