whats your guys thoughts on the compensation line running from the front to rear helm?

On advise from my mechanic friend I never installed it on my last boat and had zero issues. The guys I’m buying all my parts from this time said you have to have it...

So what have you guys done and what’s your experience?

i used the compensation line on the last boat i added a rear helm too, was nice just had the bottle on the master helm and bleed the whole system. just made sure you have a non-vented plug on the lower helm

I called seastar today. The compensation line is to prevent catisrophic seal failure if one pump builds up to much pressure.

I was also concerned that the pumps were within 1” height with the rear being slightly higher. They suggested that I should make the front helm the higher helm due to planning and what not...

I will do it by the book this go around!
