Just returned from 2 days fishing in the Charlottes. Had to be there for business so couldn't resist and booked with a local charter, Cartright Sound Charters. I would highly recommend this option if you're interested in fishing up there. Flew into Sandspit and stayed at the Sandspit Inn and we were picked up at the door each morning.
We ran the gap to the westcoast, an adventure in itself, Fished salmon & bottom fish and bagged 2 halis...25 & 70, 5 springs 10 to 20 lb, 2 coho... 8- 10lbs, 4 lings...20-25 lbs, & 8 snappers.... 157 lbs of fillets in total.
One great trip... Mark and Neil were our guides and these guys really know the area. In the end the cost was alot less than the "big guys" up there... and much more relaxed.
Anyway, one of the better fishing trips I've done.
