Reversing mono on MR2 mooching reel

Is this done or is the mono at the arbor area of the reel too kinky? I have done powerpro but never tried mono - 25# trilene XT

Forget the mono all my reels are braid can see a Herring bite at 200 ft down with mono I would dragging **** fish around all day because mono doesn't transmit up to your rod tip. Plus it doesn't seem to break down been using same braid for 10 years only thing I change is my top shot which is only 6 ft
