This is a long shot but there are a number of Island fishing types who post here so maybe somebody remembers.
10 years or more ago a guy on who lived in/near Victoria made some Dodgers that were very different. He designed them in a long sort of V shape and put a release on the back of them so that you would just fight the fish not the hardware-the Dodger remained attached to the 'rigger wire.
They were made mostly of brass and chrome plated and came in 3 sizes and it was a Dodger not a flasher.
I remember he was a Guide who often using Fly fishing gear but I have no idea what his name is and his product disappeared from the market quite quickly..
Anyway the reason I'm asking is because I had one of his units in the largest size-it was a monster-and I used it as a dummy no line attached at all.
Man did that thing draw fish!<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>It looked like a big Spring Salmon cruising down there and I had it for a long long time.
Of course like all pieces of good gear it/the wire met a rock and that was all she wrote.
So I thought if someone remembers the name of the unit/the designer then I could call him up and ask if he has some old stock gathering dust in his basement.
Any/all relevant info/comment/opinion much appreciated.
TIA
