Prawning the Addiction continues..

when i stop hauling to unsnap a trap i used to see lots of prawns swimming out of my ladners...
i put a small stainless single wire trigger on each hole with a very small split shot on the bottom.
seems to do the trick.

I picked up some of those $65 imported traps from craigslist the other day. I must say, there pretty friggin nice for the price! And I wont cry if I lose one like I would with a Ladner. I will report back with how they fish when it reopens

Thats right. I have a couple. My only complaint was they are a little too light. They float around a little too much during their descent. I zap strapped a couple of pieces of re bar to the supports and now like em alot.

Bauer traps should come out with a trap with bigger wire mesh so it releases most of the small ones
