Nookta Sound Suggestions?

I am taking my nephew to Nookta Sound fishing on the 10 and 11 of July and we are planning to jig for coho. We plan to fish inside of the lighthouse and I was wondering if anyone has any spots they would suggest trying. Last year I had a great trip fishing near Saavedra Islands however any other suggestions would be great.

Burdwood can be a good spot

Right at the Lighthouse you can't go wrong.

I find that just outside of the light is usually way more productive...Wash Rock.

Totally agree, but, I thought he was looking for inside protected fishing....If you want the "best" area to go for coho.....its off Bajo just south from my experience.....Last year in particular in August, you couldn't keep 5-7 lb coho off the line.

Yes that is correct we would prefer to fish inside as my Nephew is quite young. He loves casting hence why we will be jigging which is my preferred method. That being said I appreciate all the info.

Rosa island, maybe center island on the esperenza inlet side. Specifically Rosa island, it can get choppy in there but if your jigging you should be able to tuck in and be fine. Also picked up the odd spring there and hali
