New Coyote 6.0 spoons thicker than old ones

You guys probably all noticed already and I'm just slow on the uptake, but some of the new coyote spoons I picked up this year in the 6.0 size are now made of more metal. I'd say 30%-40% thicker than they were. The spoon shape is still the same and the bends all look the same but the weight of the spoon and the overall sturdiness of it seems to have picked up a bit.
Anyone fished em yet to see if they work just as well as the old ones?
If they do I'm keen these ones look like they'd last longer than the old ones which used to bend up on me all the time.
They still come with the crummy hooks but oh well.

Myself i prefer the old ones with the scale pattern like the light ones that way when you back off on the speed they flutter back down.

I noticed the same...haven't fished with them yet...BUt what I do notice other than the thickness is that the paint/finish on the new ones is just plain crappy compared to the US made ones....Well the ones I have seen and been able to compare are..The 4.0 mongoose china version's paint is a lot less vibrant than than the old version. Not sure if it makes a difference for fishing as I am relatively new to the game.

Put a Chinese "Party Girl" Coyote beside an American one, and they almost look like like 2 different spoons.
I won't even buy the Chinese version.

Same can be said of the "Dolphin" Coyote...Chinese colors are way different than the American one.
Won't buy that one either.

Wonder how much it costs for them to make a Coyote spoon over there..... less than a dollar?

Right now I'm into checking out the Great lakes spoons.....like Northern King for example. I don't know if they are made onshore North America....but they have some killer colors for out here.
Same goes for Wolverine and " Pa's".
Michigan Stinger has a couple of good ones too.
Just google "Great Lakes fishing spoons".

Seafever - talking about other spoons to try, Silver Horde has some great looking smaller spoons. They are shaped different and I replace the hooks on them, but the spoons look pretty decent and the paint looks nice. I only just picked them up a little while back so I haven't had them in the water yet to compare to my old Coyotes but I've heard good things.
