Got a merc 9.9 pro kicker with a 10x7 four blade prop on it.
Seems to work just fine but I’d like to see if I can get up to trolling speed with a lot less engine noise by keeping the revs down with a bigger diameter and or higher pitch prop.
It’s on a Malibu 182 ~3000lb fully loaded.
Trolling on the main engine is way way quieter than the kicker… unless the kicker is revved down and trolling damn slow around 1-1.5knots.
Looking to get 2-2.5 knot trolling speed with less revs.
Ideas?
