McDonald Beach Launch, Richmond, BC

Wanting to launch my boat at McDonald Beach this sunday afternoon. My boat is a 21' Boston Whaler on a bunk trailer and I want to make sure that I will be able to launch and retrieve the boat on a falling tide. Looked at Navionics tide predictor and this one (http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/sites_othernorth.html) and found that the Navionics one shows the tide to be about 4.5' (this is at Canoe Pass. Steveston does not show on the Navionics predictor) lower at low tide, so I don't know which one is more accurate. I know a number of you guys use this ramp quite often. Will there be enough water to get the boat in and out between 2:00 pm-5:00 pm this Sunday, May 24, 2015?
Thanks

Launched my buddy's Bayliner 2452 there last June at low water on a 1.5' tide. It was shallow going out the channel to the river but there was no problem at the ramp and getting it in.

I see there is a ramp at the Seair Float Planes area at YYJ float Planes. Can you use it for a quick launch to get your boat in the water if you don't need parking?

If you are talking about the ramp where they bring the float planes from the hangar to the water, I would think not. I can't imagine the airport allowing boaters to get in the way of the float planes coming in and out of that area. To the OP, MacDonald Beach is the go to ramp during low tides in the Vancouver area. At the lowest tide almost every other ramp I've used (Vanier, Steveston, Ambleside) is not useable at the lowest tide. However, MacDonald Beach has always been useable as long as you use the "middle" part of the launch. At low tide the outside lane is not useable for larger boats.

Launched there yesterday at noon and tide was very low, launched okay but not much room to back the boat out and turn. Then only 2ft below the boat heading out to the river. TF
