Maintain Priority Access to Chinook and Coho for the Canadian Public in a New Salmon Allocation Policy. Send Your Letter to DFO!

I didn’t have much faith in Gord Johns so thank you for sharing this.

He’s still supporting the FNs/Commercial raid of the recreational Chinook and Coho allocation; he’s just trying to deflect any responsibility. He still claimed there is ‘misinformation’ out there and asked the Minister to clarify. It’s not like he was advocating for the recreational fishing sector so I personally still wouldn’t put much faith in him.

Perhaps book an appointment to meet with Gord, and help him understand the fundamental issues implementing a fixed share or quota allocation between commercial and recreational will do to your fishery and all the businesses that depend upon it. It would certainly help Gord to hear and gain a better understanding of the basis behind our community concerns.
