Looking for a Lug crimper

Rewiring battery system and want to replace most/all of the wiring. I have added a Blue Sea ACR system that requires a number of connections between dual batteries, Blue Sea components, etc. Hoping someone might have a used crimper to sell. The ones I have borrowed in the past look like bolt cutters. Thanks.

Same here big honkin bolt cutter look a likes deliver the pressure you need to crimp battery terminals. They're pretty pricey for the amount of times you'll ever use them though. I've only borrowed them as well. If you don't have a source to borrow one, perhaps a well stocked tool rental outfit has them.

Also what are you crimping? 2/0 bat cables? Electrical wholesaler rent out hydraulic crimper for cheap. You could go there and crimp the big stuff right there on the counter

I knew some outfit must have them to rent or do it as a service. Good to know. Don't forget to put heat shrink tubing on beforehand if you have it done at an outside place that performs the service.

Great advice everyone. The one I used this weekend was awesome. Thought I was prepared and pre-planned enough to run the cables through one after another...not!

Anyways, Bones, I appreciate the offer but I am an Islander out of Parksville (for those following the thread about where to live - this would be a great choice, especially when your kids are young.

This is the one I managed to borrow. If anyone is looking for a set to purchase, it created awesome crimps, with little effort/moving pieces around.
