Used to be able to get crabs in the washroom at Buffy's Pub in Sooke... but they closed it down during COVID.... liquor store is still open that is attached... could try there.

Crabbing has declined in the last two years south island and I'm pretty confident by my observations that it is due to an increase in commercial sets. I wonder if this is due to the collapse of the Alaska snow crab fishery increasing the demand for 'crab'? Not all Debbie Downer though, last time out I got 45 dungies in two traps, mostly female with a few males. Only two were legal and to soft to keep. So if everyone behaves, they will come back.
