Haha yeah for sure, 600 two stroke ponies would be crazy fun on the back of your rig. Thanks man, I'm excited to see your boat finished! Yeah the 200s will be great but the gearhead in me says 600hp would be fun.
You're boat sits very nice in the water, that will be a fun set upThought I’d throw this pic in, this is the boat the new engine will hang off of:View attachment 105366

how much this cost?Boat is pretty stripped down, dash panel and 2 full contractor bags of wiring came out. It’s crazy how greasy everything in the bilge gets from an old IO.
Kicker and bracket came off too, selling the bracket if anyone in interested, I’ll ad a pic below.
Boat goes into Brando on Tuesday for the pod!! Also booked in to hang the engine and get it rigged on July first. If all goes according we should have this boat set just in time for real summer to start.
Like a marriage we are all in denial and would never even buy a fishing boat if we knew the true cost.how much this cost?
Just to clarify as there might be some confusion, are you asking how much for the kicker bracket or what he's spending on the pod?how much this cost?
Price for conversion from I/O to Pod, each section, roughly.Just to clarify as there might be some confusion, are you asking how much for the kicker bracket or what he's spending on the pod?
But thats okay, a rough estimate is all that is being asked. You will never get a right estimate on a forum. Every boat is different plus take your max you can spend and add 20%. You will always go over budget. Things come up when you do the conversion.
Size of boat , power needed, hull condition, doing yourself, getting shop to do it for you, your question is too generic, generic answer for you min 7k maximum 150 k, in this tread I am sure he is probably close to 25k probably more, I just spent 30k just for repower, both kicker9.9 and 300 main both used, I am already poddedBut thats okay, a rough estimate is all that is being asked.
50K? 10K? more? less?
Between 20 and 30?
Not more than X?
Not less than Y?
And does this count the OB?
It’s free. (Just don’t think about it)how much this cost?
PricelessIt’s free. (Just don’t think about it)
I can price it out at the end if you’d really like, no cost is certain until it’s all finished. Brutus is right though, really depends on the work you’re having done.Price for conversion from I/O to Pod, each section, roughly.

Yep, ain’t that the truth. Looking at the clean transom is tear jerking.I think that's best part of the process. The realization that the inboard is finally gone.
