My filleting board needs a tune up. I scrub and bleach it but the grey/black is winning. Any suggestions
Replace it with a chunk of cedarMy filleting board needs a tune up. I scrub and bleach it but the grey/black is winning. Any suggestions?
It didn’t melt it? That was my concern that it would just turn into goo on the sanding discs.Sanded mine with 60 grit. Occasionally I bleach soak it with 12% concentrate.....that stuff'll make a body disappear
Not there yet. Would do butcher block before cedar if I go to wood.Replace it with a chunk of cedar
I used 80grit on a random orbit palm sander and worked fine, 60 probably be better. It didn’t melt it? That was my concern that it would just turn into goo on the sanding discs.

Butcher friend suggested using a sharp paint scraper then bleach.I used 80grit on a random orbit palm sander and worked fine, 60 probably be better.
Where did you get the 12%? That would be great to use.Sanded mine with 60 grit. Occasionally I bleach soak it with 12% concentrate.....that stuff'll make a body disappear
I watched Trevor in Bamfield pour bleach all over his rig after killing 50 million pounds of fish every day. If there's anyone who knows how to get blood stains out, it's that guy.Where did you get the 12%? That would be great to use.
Fuel dock in ukee, but it's around. Maybe a janitorial supplyWhere did you get the 12%? That would be great to use.
Tried that. No successNothing better than "30 second cleaner" especially if you leave it on for about 2-3 minutes
Tried that too. No success either.Bilge cleaner/ water mix in a spray bottle.... simply the best
Even better, turn it upside down.Buy a new one
